Chairperson

Dr. Peter Koona Tefo

Maseru, Lesotho

Dr. Peter Koona Tefo was born and raised in the Thaba-Tseka district of Lesotho, Southern Africa. He is a Mosotho theologian, academic, researcher, and ordained minister within the Lesotho Evangelical Church in Southern Africa.

He holds a PhD in Biblical Studies (Old Testament) from the University of Pretoria, with doctoral research focused on interpreting biblical leadership principles — particularly Nehemiah's rebuilding of Jerusalem — and applying them to modern organisational and national development. He also holds a Master of Theology in Biblical Studies from the South African Theological Seminary, where his research examined the intersection of Old Testament prophecy and social reform, with emphasis on the book of Amos.

Dr. Tefo currently serves as General Secretary of the Christian Council of Lesotho and as Chaplain at the National University of Lesotho, where he also lectures part-time alongside Morija Theological Seminary.

Within the Lesotho Evangelical Church in Southern Africa, he has held the role of Treasurer General and represented the church internationally through Oikocredit International, where he served on the Members' Council.

His work bridges theology and social transformation. He is particularly passionate about good governance, equity, and respect for human rights.

Dr. Lebohang Matela

Maseru, Lesotho

Dr Lebohang Matela is a gender and human rights advocate from Lesotho with extensive experience in health, gender justice, peacebuilding, and regional development.

She has held the position of Executive Director since 2017, leading initiatives that advance gender equality, human rights, and social transformation across Southern Africa.

Dr Matela holds a PhD in Gender Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), obtained in 2020.

Regional Coordinator

Pontsho Kesenogile Segwai

South Africa

Pontsho Kesenogile Segwai holds a Psychology Honours degree from Rhodes University, a Diploma in Theology from the Nazarene Theological College, and a Graduate Programme Certificate in International Water, Sanitation and Hygiene from the University of Nevada, Reno.

She has served within the humanitarian sector for over two decades, including as Gender and Development Coordinator and Child Protection and Advocacy Manager for World Vision South Africa.

She is the Board Chairperson of We Will Speak Out South Africa (WWSOSA) and serves as Secretariat for the Faith Action Collective and Side by Side — a global movement working toward gender justice worldwide.

Dave Wilson is an experienced financial professional with a strong background in accounting, taxation, and business financial management. He graduated with a BCompt in Accounting Science and completed his articles at David Strachan Taylor, now part of PKF.

He then established and successfully ran his own accounting practice for over 40 years, providing trusted financial guidance across a broad range of industries.
